Robins SG11 Seat & Guide Machine is designed for precision cylinder-head reconditioning, helping engine-rebuilding workshops machine valve seats accurately in relation to the valve guides. Valve-seat machining depends on accurate alignment with the valve guide. The Robins EZmatic design uses a pilot-based centering system with fixed- and live-pilot capability to establish that alignment. Its air-float work head helps position the spindle over the guide before cutting, while multi-angle tooling produces the required valve-seat profile.
Key features of the EZmatic version
Fixed- and live-pilot capability for accurate centering.
Air-float work head for positioning.
Variable spindle speed and micro-fine feed for cutting control.
Multi-angle valve-seat tooling and quick-change tool retention.
Reverse spindle rotation for tapping operations.
Work lighting and a portable vacuum-testing kit.
Compatibility with the Robins Guide Honing Kit for preparing guide geometry before machining the seats
